This blog will serve as instructions and examples for your assignments. You will have a weekly opportunity to work on and develop your blog. Some blocks, you may choose to develop the overall look of your website. Other blocks, you may choose to work on blog assignments. My goal is to have approximately 2 official blog assignments per month. These will require you to post photos, descriptions, and reflections about the work we are doing in class.
For every lab we do in class, you will be expected to create a new blog post to reflect on your learning and achievement in each lab.
Unless otherwise specified, each lab blog post must include the following:
*Photos- multiple photos (perhaps at different stages of preparation) are encouraged
*Recipe- links to recipes used in class will be on the In Class Assignments Page
*Reflection Questions:
-one thing you did well on the actual lab
-one thing you did well on the photo
-one thing you’d do differently in the lab next time
-one thing you’d do differently on the photo
-two elements or principles of design present in your photo- explain explicitly where they are and what they are like, using creative adjectives
If you missed one of the labs, find a professional photo online of the same item and answer:
-two things you find appealing about the photo
-one thing the artist could have done to improve the shot- think about balance, colour, lighting, garnishing, props, etc.
