Elements of Design Vocab Assignment

DUE June 18

For this assignment, you will be asked to find and describe examples of the

elements of design in photographs of food.

You should find photographic examples of the following terms:

Line- choose two types, minimum: (curved, straight, diagonal, vertical, broken, heavy, etc)

Texture

Shape

Form

Space

Colour

Value / Tone

To demonstrate proficiency, you complete an analysis of 6 photos (1 term per photo). 

For extending, you may also explain what effect or feeling the element creates OR complete more than 6 photos OR analyze more than one element per photo.

 EXAMPLE:

Apply the elements and principles of design to food photographs, plans and products created by self and others		-Explains, in detail, how elements are used in each photo
Apply conventions for digital presentations (i.e. appropriate font, colors, background, bullet sizes, etc)		-Follows digital conventions- easy to read, neat layout, appropriate bullet length
