Special Event Cakes!
These cakes are your final project to showcase the skills and techniques you have learned this semester. You are expected to plan the cakes, find videos that help develop the skills & techniques you need for your design, making the cakes & all decor, and photograp the process & final products.
Your planning must include the following:

Complete details of top and sides of cake.

Must include colours, types of borders, and all decorations
The following must be included on your cake:​

Two different types of borders
-
Writing or printing
-
Flower or figure
-
Three icing mediums
Buttercream
Royal Icing
Fondant
Chocolate works (leaves, shapes, moulds, etc)
Blogs must include a photo of your planing sheet, at least 2 youtube links, at least 3 photos of the process, 2 well done final photos, & the following questions answered.
What do you feel worked the best or turned out the best about your cake?
What did not work as well as you expected?
If you were to re-do your cake, what would you do differently next time?
How many tiers did your cake have?
What three types of icing mediums did you use and how was each used?
What type of flower or other figure did you have? What was it made out of?
Did any of your materials go to waste? What? How could this be avoided in the future?
